New Song: Madonna – 4 Minutes To Save The World (ft. Timbaland & Justin Timberlake)

Madonna - 4 Minutes To Save The World (ft. Timbaland & Justin Timberlake)As I’ve said before, it’s not often you see Madonna around these sides. Yet her foray into the world of Urban of music (again), this time with the assistance of Timbaland & Justin Timberlake, is newsworthy in itself. A clip of the first single to be lifted from her forthcoming album ‘Hard Candy’ (due April 29th) ‘4 Minutes To Save The World’, surfaced earlier this month, however the full version premiered on French radio today.
What can I say? She brought ‘it’ and then some! The production on the uptempo track is arguably Timbo’s best in years and both Madonna & Justin ride the beat with ease. I’m still thinking to myself as I type, can this really be a Madonna track?! The hook heavy track is certain to be a smash IMO.

Ah right. Its pretty rubbish that he just retagged thatgrapejuice all over the m** then. Easy to give props to the original source. Loks like I’ll be checking a different blog from now on Doctor Bass 😉

To be honest, the beat is crazy cool! But I’m not really feeling her or Justin singing on the track…everything just sounds really scattered. It’s almost like too much is going on.

    Doctor Bass/ Dodgy C,

The link was forwaded to me by one of my sources, without an original ‘source’ per se. As I’m sure you’ll notice, I give credit everytime I’ve sourced something. So accusations to the contrary are unfounded 🙂

    Have a Nice Day.

Not my cup of tea… not bad, but too much of a mess music wise. This will attract Timbalake’s fans, but not Madonna’s. Come back ‘Like A Virgin’, all is forgiven…

Other than a fresh beat, This sounds more like a JT joint than a Madge joint. However overall this song is nothing I am wild about or doesn’t draw to cop the album but I wish her well.

Eeeh mazin tune!!! Just when i thought timbalands sound was wearing thin this comes along… Madge’s singles hardly ever make an impact on the billboard hot 100 but i’m sure this will do well. However its worth a note her (i heard) madgesty was back and forth in the studio with timbaland/danja etc as she was’nt happy with the material.

This song is HOT! Can’t wait for US radio to pick it up.

This is HOT!!!! Wow. Very busy production, but that minimal style is over. This is exactly what she should be doing right now.

It’s so sad to hear somebody who used to be a trendsetter chasing after Timberlake’s sorry ass (and sound) like a geriatric Nelly Furtado.

Not a bad song..keyboard is a bit annoying (and so is that french radio presenter!) But I think it’s OK

  16. Anonymous March 2, 2008

I think its brill all the way! not sure how die hard madonna fans will find it though – her songs always have a pop undercurrant but this is very urban. kool tho

  17. Anonymous March 2, 2008

um, NO! Madonna is barely on the track! A dance song and the thing is, amdonna CAN’T DANCE!! the vid will be JT dancing. This song is more like justin ft madonna and she is using him and timbaland so she can get radio play and fight to stay relevant

  18. Anonymous March 2, 2008

i wont be buying it. something tells me it will be her worst selling record.

  19. david March 3, 2008

madonna’s desperation is starting to show. and i agree with the post up here that says it’s sad that she used to be a trendsetter now she’s chasing people like timbaland in order to stay relevant. she did this whole ‘urban music’ schtick 14 years ago with ‘bedtime stories’, and it didn’t work too well for her then, either. and putting justine timberfake on the song didn’t help AT ALL. sorry madonna. your induction into the rock & roll hall of fame next week should also become your retirement ceremony as well. it’s a bad sign when you start recycling things you’ve done more than once in the past.

    Oh Please,

It’s just like when Music was leaked. She’ll have a big hit on her hands. Madonna still rocks.
